Therapy Dog Prep

Therapy Dog Prep is for handlers who have an interest in doing Pet Therapy with their dog. We will build on your obedience skills, introducing dogs to equipment and situations that may be encountered as part of this work. We will teach the handlers their role in interacting in these
environments and learning how to be a supportive advocate for their dog. This class will help prepare you for the evaluations offered by Pet Partners, TDI, Reading with Rover and Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Even if therapy work is not your goal, it is a great class to help teach your dog to work around lots of distractions and situations.

Pre-Requisite: Completion of Intermediate
Obedience (or equivalent) or higher.
